"Once when I'll be beautiful"

Body, Art and the Fears in between

My Story: From Body Image Anxiety to Freedom

My struggle with body image began at a young age. I grew up surrounded by images of “perfect” women on social media and felt constant pressure to fit into narrow, “acceptable” standards of beauty. The unspoken message was clear: If you’re not beautiful, you’re not worthy.

By the age of 21, after years of self-criticism, countless tears, and spending far too much on makeup to hide every perceived flaw, I “accidentally” stepped into the world of artistic nude modeling.

What I found there changed everything. I discovered a community of artists who saw beauty in every shape, line, and curve. Painters and sculptors who looked at the human body, with all its so-called imperfections, through eyes filled with respect and appreciation. In their gaze, I found acceptance. I learned that I could live in peace with my body and that my presence could help artists express truth, emotion, and strength through their work.

In the lecture, I share this journey: how I moved beyond fear, insecurity, and the need to hide, and how I became a woman who proudly presents her natural self in exhibitions around the world.

Together, we also explore key moments in art history that depict human and female nudity, tracing the evolution of how beauty has been represented through time.

The message is simple yet powerful:
Natural is beautiful. No fear, no prejudice, just us.

Audience Comments:

"Fascinating and educational, gives me the confidence to be proud of my body."

"The lecture gave me a place to feel and internalize that simply natural is the model of natural beauty, true and beautiful. Recommended for everyone."

"You gave me a lot of inspiration! Thank you! I'm going to try to overcome my fears myself."

What is a model?

The lecture begins with a simple yet profound question: What is a model? Who is the person standing before the artist, and what role do they play in the creative process?

We will explore iconic masterpieces throughout history, viewing them through the model’s perspective. Together, we’ll uncover how the presence of a living person enhances the artistic message, and how the model’s own experience can shape the depth, emotion, and meaning of a work of art.

The lecture concludes with a look at several of my own experiences as an art model in Israel and abroad, highlighting the stories and messages behind those works.

If you or your team are art enthusiasts, this talk offers a fascinating and accessible way to deepen your understanding of an often overlooked aspect of art.

Optional Add-On:
For those who work with models, I also offer practical guidance on how to collaborate effectively, creating a respectful, empowering environment that enriches the creative process for both artist and model.
